Radi minimalizacije traume tkiva, velika prednost koju donosi je skraćeno vrijeme mnogih operacija, brži postoperativni oporavak i bolji kozmetički rezultat u smislu ožiljaka.
Laparoscopy in urology

Abstract:
Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive method in surgery during which the operation is performed through several small incisions (5 to 15 mm) with the help of long, narrow instruments and working trocars. It has replaced numerous surgical procedures performed during laparotomy (open abdomen). Today, it is possible to perform almost all urological operations laparoscopically and avoid an open procedure.
In order to minimize tissue trauma, the great advantage it brings is the shortened time of many operations, faster postoperative recovery and a better cosmetic result in terms of scars. Due to all of the above, patients return to their daily functions and habits more quickly.
So far, 20 operations have been performed at the Department of Urology of KBC Osijek.
